Ceremonial Opening with Founding Father SHIN on 7th March 2017

by Susanne Ganns

They were all excited. The children, the teachers, the parents and the organisers. Days before, the children have diligently practiced songs, dances and much more to create a wonderful setting for the opening on 7th March 2017.

It took only one year to build the building. The builder Negi and his craftsmen have done a great job again and the quality of the building has been increased again. Even the parents have participated intensively in the construction, because it is a big concern of all for the school to make progress.

From the perspective of the public authorities and with regard to state permission, this building is a further step in the right direction. The large, very bright hall with wonderful views over the surroundings offers the children many possibilities to extend the lessons further. The hall is ideal for yoga, dance and games, spiritual rituals, cultural performances to which guests from near and far can be invited.

The teachers’ rooms now offer the teachers a good accommodation even during the winter months. Two other rooms provide space for guests and guest teachers.

Since the children like to sit on the floor  and do that most of the time, a thick coconut carpet will be bought in the near future so that the children can be warm enough in the cold months and their small kidneys are protected.

And then the time has come.

SHIN and several guests had traveled from a distance to open up the new building with the large hall, the teachers‘ and guests’ rooms with the children.

All the children and parents stood and welcomed SHIN with many malas and wonderful songs.

Everybody gathered together, the children, the parents, the teachers and carers, and all the craftsmen of the building. They listened to the opening words of SHIN and received his blessing and the blessing for the place.

The teachers honored SHIN as founding father and initiator of the school with a stole. This was followed by a long speech of SHIN, in which he explained in detail the meaning and implementation of this new school culture and he also spoke admonishing words of how important these new impulses for the children are, especially in these modern times.

This was followed by a wonderful cultural programme, which the children created with singing and dancing in festive clothes.

In the end, SHIN made a very valuable physical exercise with the children – the Tree-of-Life prayer.

The parents and guests were inspired.

Finally, there was one more photo.
SHIN is framed by all the children, parents, teachers and guardians of the place, Rohit and Dilbar.
