Gaayan Mandalee Choir sings for the Nature School

by Birgid Rau

About 2 ½ years ago, we – Birgid Rau, Sascha Zeller and PremBali Goedsche – decided to meet regularly to sing.

Soon we had rehearsed a small repertoire of songs and mantras from different cultures.

The development of the Paramarth Awadhawan Nature School in India is very important to the three of us. That’s why we decided to organise a charity concert.

First we gave ourselves a name:
Gaayan Mandalee (Sanskrit: little choir)

In the meantime, the choir from Lindau on Lake Constance has grown by 3 more members:
Patricia and Dominik Rau (even the 5-year-old Elian sang with us some songs!) and Monika Wechs.

The first benefit concert in November 2022 generated € 1,130.

After this success, we decided to organise another benefit concert in June 2024.
Unfortunately, there was a heavy storm with heavy rain that evening, so that fewer guests came than expected.

Nevertheless, we were able to donate € 770 to the Nature School in India!

It is important to us that the nature school is maintained and can continue to grow.

We are very much looking forward to travelling there again.

Note from the board of the Pan Terra Association – www.en.pan-terra.org

We are all deeply touched by this heartfelt commitment and would like to thank all choir members on behalf of the children, parents and teachers of the Paramarth Awadhawan Nature School.

And all the children and teachers would be delighted if you visited the Nature School and sing your songs with everyone.

A very warm welcome
